Recessions are funny things. Actually, not so funny when you consider how many vineyards have been sold below their true value or have gone bust in the past six years. To survive the turbulence of this economic downturn, we made a decision in 2009 not to produce our premium label Pinot Noir until the global financial situation improved. We maintained our high quality story and kept our top label front of mind through the tasting and selling of older vintages of this wine at the cellar door and to select trade customers. The great news is that we will soon be releasing our Waitiri Creek Pinot Noir 2013. This single vineyard wine made from our Old Matagouri Block in Gibbston displays wonderfully complex flavours and remarkable depth attributable to the now 18 year old vines from which it comes. The not-so-great news is that we have very limited stock of this wine. Six years is a long time to wait and we would hate you to miss out! Please contact us to reserve a case of this wine.
