Waitiri Creek Harriet Rose 2013

Rich raspberry and strawberry aromas dominate the nose and palate and are supported by floral notes. The palate shows good berry fruit weight with a lovely mouthfeel, and a well balanced, lingering finish. Serve lightly chilled. more close
Handpicked Pinot Noir was destemmed but not crushed. The grapes underwent a 2 day cold soak to aid colour and flavour extraction prior to pressing and fermentation. The grapes were gently pressed and then the juice was left to cold settle before being racked off gross lees and innoculated with an aromatic yeast. Fermentation lasted several weeks and once complete, the wine was sulphured, racked and blended and lightly fined with isinglass. Bottling occurred on 28 August 2013.
